About me

I really enjoy drawing, painting and printmaking, specifically creating lino prints. The drawings I have created in final year and presented in my degree show capture the changes, fears and paranoia brought on by the Covid-19 Pandemic, something we can all relate to. In the future I hope to enter the hugely rewarding career of art therapy. I feel so lucky that completing this degree will allow me to enter a job which centres around the thing that I enjoy the most; art.

‘Never alone’ is a series of nine drawings in which I capture the fleeting, yet often overlooked, moments of everyday life. I launch strangers, people I wouldn’t usually acknowledge when passing on the street, into the main focal point of my drawings. Using ink and water, I create drawings from my photography which evoke a sense of either comfort or uneasiness, which is ultimately decided by the viewer, as it reminds them that we are never alone. Both a reassuring and frightening thought.
