About me

I have really enjoyed all three years of my time at UCLan, I’ve been offered many opportunities and been given so much support by tutors. I developed my illustrative style whilst working through projects and also developed a love for children’s book illustration. My project ‘Moon Mouse’ was an entry for the Carmelite competition by Hachette Publishing. During my first year, I was also awarded the Royal British Artist Award where I had my work displayed in two London galleries. I will go on to study children’s book illustration at Masters level in September at UCLan.

One of my favourite projects to work on this year was 'Moon Mouse'. It was definitely key in helping me find my style. Developing the Moon Mouse character was one of my favourite parts of this project. Another project I worked on was a children's book I wrote and illustrated- 'Alfie Anteater', about an anteater born without his stripe and his journey in trying to find it. All my illustrations are painted in gouache, I love the hand painted effect and adds charm to the characters.
