About me

Hi I’m Jasmine, a fashion promotion and styling graduate. I have followed the styling pathway of the course for the past two years, and love to art direct, style and shoot my own imagery.

"I am" is an editorial inspired by spirituality and specifically the seven Chakras. The initial research for this piece of work was steered by people's need to find some inner calm and peace around the chaos and change due to the pandemic. 'I don't want to go back' is a concept driven by the initial topic of identity. Reflecting on my own heritage being half Cypriot, and the Turkish invasion in 1974 which effected my family. 'Shifted Priorities' is a trend publication based on the feelings and habits of consumers during the country’s lock down.

Colourful styling, props that enhance the key elements of the chakras

Taking the decade into account the styling references coupled with the colour palette of the Cypriot landscape and buildings, the bright Mediterranean light and contrasting tones initiated this womenswear shoot.

The vision for the editorial was to capture the emotion of the displaced people through props, words and poses. Shot in a vast empty space, a feeling of stillness and loneliness.

The trend ‘Shifted Priorities’ was created by carrying out extensive research into consumer behaviours, and emotions which have formed as a result of the COVID19 pandemic.

The publication has a minimalistic style to reflect the stripped back way of life, and decreased consumerism.
