About me

My final year at university has definitely been one I did not anticipate, having conducted all of my classes online, worked 100% from home and never even met some of my tutors in person, you’d think this would have proven to be a challenging year.

On the contrary! This year has been one of my best academic years of my life. I learned so much from my work and my tutors really made the best of a bad situation and where so supportive.

Working from home gave me the opportunity to gain more independence, which then gave me so much time to focus on my skills. I think every student of game design would agree that there’s a certain point in time where you find where your skills fit in the industry. After this year, I am so much more confident in my personal skills!

At the start of the year I had a solid project started a couple weeks early. I had very ambitious ideas for this project, and didn't take into consideration how much I still had to learn. When that project inevitably fell short of my expectations, I was disappointed. But at the same time, the project taught me so much about my skills, what I excel at and what skills I need to work on. This inspired me to move forward creating multiple projects, learning from each one and applying what I'd learned every time I made a new project.
