About me

My practice is primarily rooted in the exploration of the entanglement between memory and place through an embedded, gendered experience as a female artist. Drawing on site-specific performance and installation I am constantly exploring the world around me to understand my place within it.

'I Looked Back and Saw Everything' is a selection of works that draw together my recent research into the entanglement of a gendered experience of place through my experiences of trauma and memory. In its effect on my practice this inter-relationship has proved problematic forcing me to address long-held fears concerning distressing events attached to local spaces.
