About me

Over the course of my degree I have experimented with colour, scale and media. My process has evolved and developed. I enjoy working on a large scale, with a curated colour palate, to produce expressive abstract modern pieces. The materials I have chosen, such as sprac paints provide a balance of freedom of movement, yet the ability to be unconsciously free, without over thinking. I work without a clear objective of a final piece, instead intuitively being led by the work I produce.

“Links, Loops and Back Again” is a collection of marks made on paper of different sizes, from a specific pallet of different shades of blue, pink and orange. I chose this colour palette because I am always drawn to the blues in nature such as the sea and the sky,I brought in the pink and orange to give more depth as I find these contrasting. If we had the physical show, I would allow the audience to walk on my work and have an immersive experience and observe all the layers and details within my work.
