About me

I’m Liv, 22 and have just completed three years at UCLan studying Fashion Design. Prior to attending university, I have completed two years at Stafford College also studying Fashion Design, where I discovered an interest in menswear. Leaving college with a triple D* and an award for best fashion design student of the year, I wanted to continue developing my menswear focus at university and build my skills and knowledge around the subject. During my time at UCLan I had the opportunity to expand my design skills in menswear via practical and digital work as well as gaining a greater understanding in sustainable practises within the fashion industry, an essential subject to study. My next steps after completing my degree is to continue my studies at UCLan on the master’s degree Fashion Design programme where I can explore the topics mentioned even further.

My FMP 'Solace' is a menswear fashion collection created with the planet in mind. Designed and created using an old tent the collection is the key to sustainability and what can be done and made within the Fashion Design industry with supplies that are upcycled. Following this concept I also wanted the collection to follow an outerwear aesthetic.
