About me

I am a Level designer investigating level design techniques and workflows which benefit levels from the artist’s perspective. Achieving a deeper understanding of the partnered roles of a level designer and environmental artist will lead to better quality levels and maximise team cohesion.

Artist's Guide to Level Design is the investigation of level design techniques that can enhance the artistic qualities of a level, for example, the ability to convey specific emotions at the primitive blockout stage. The aim is to create solid foundations for the environmental artist to work from adding depth to the level and increasing the overall quality.
