About me

I’m an artist currently based in Lancashire, my specialism is character design and illustration and I am just completing my degree in Games Design.

I create work both traditionally and using Photoshop. Alongside my specialism, I also have an understanding of using Unreal Engine 5 and Maya.

I made a project exploring what different deities could look like. Each illustration was created using Photoshop.

I created the characters focused on set themes for each of them, exploring various ideas in initial design sketches before settling on the finished designs.

Joy Deity - For this piece I wanted the deity to represent 'Joy', so I thought flowers and bright colours was the way I wanted to show that.

Spirit Deity - The idea behind this character is that she steals spirits from others as she doesn't have her own, so she uses others to sustain her.

Star Deity - I definitely was going for a wizard like style for this design, but with the ability to shoot stars.

Justice Deity - I wanted to explore the idea of 'Judge, Jury and Executioner', ultimately my design definitely leans more into the idea of an 'executioner'. Heavily inspired by medieval/fantasy style.

Nature Deity - My thought process was 'revenge of nature', with a deer skull and oil covering the body. I wanted to represent the damage humanity does to the planet through this design.

Time Deity - I wanted to lean into the clockwork concept for the first character, with the second character with more of a magic influence, being able to open portals to different points in time.

Loyalty Deity - This is the 'Loyalty Deity'! A much more friendly and playful deity compared to some of the others, a guardian who will stand by your side no matter what!
