About me

I am 23 years old based in Cheshire, North West England.

Artist statement:
Making dance accessible and inclusive is a core passion of mine. Dance not only makes you feel great, but the proven science behind its benefits to every being, no matter who you are, is truly powerful. Dance brings people together, it allows our uniqueness to shine through and within my practice I strive to background labels, class, ethnicity and gender and foreground moving bodies, creative minds, collaborative making and allowing personalities to express themselves.

My recent personal inquiries see me applying and discovering the possible benefits of somatic approaches to movement within sports

Skill base:
Trained Dance Styles: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Commercial, Cheerleading, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre.

Experience in:
House, Whacking, Crump, Capoeira, Latin & Ballroom, Authentic Jazz and Bashment/Dancehall.

*Dual Nationality with the United State of America holding a valid passport*

My biggest development during my time on the dance course has been my encounter with somatic approaches to movement. This topic matter massively informed and mapped my university journey. The knowledge it has provided me with has allowed me to understand how to work in a way which supports the longevity of my career and enables me to find fullness, clarity and ease within my moving.
This approach to movement has been a focal point within my enquires with both 2nd year essay and 3rd year dissertation investigating how the approach can be applied and beneficial within the sports world.
