Throughout my studies I have thrived to send the message of self-love to my audience, during my second year I based the mini-collection and I fully executed my visions with sheer pieces in my final year with my improved manufacturing and design skills. In my final collection I designed a conceptual array of designs with core garments being commercial showing both strong skills. Being posted by Graduate Fashion Week during my toile process, CAD boards and Final garment manufacturing. Previously I entered competitions for Pretty Little Thing and Real Leather for a commercial customer-base.
My collection entails garment’s that has been designed with main thoughts of ‘Victoriana’ and ‘oceanic forms’ using lingerie-led and romantic approaches to create a bespoke array of designs directed towards occasion / event-wear for women aged between 20-26. Using my two themes it allows me to create unique silhouettes and textiles embellishments, as well as fabric manipulation and the use of upcycling. Ruching, frills and the use of the crinoline and corset are very significant in my collection. The main fabrics and textures are Lace, mesh, tulle and organza.
