After studying fashion design for 3 years, and incorporating my graphic design background, my strengths in fashion and digital designs have grown alongside my ambitions. Whilst studying fashion design, it has shown me the time and dedication that it takes to produce a collection and has pushed me to be the designer that created my garments. I am always keen to learn new skills to improve my creativity and designs that will be useful in the industry. Exploring the fashion industry and widening my design style, has allowed me to make ready to wear garments that fits the consumer size and shape.
‘It’s A Game’ is a collection based on my hometown sports teams of Wigan. Introducing a futuristic approach to my sports silhouettes, with fabric and colour combinations developing a fashion forward, dramatic collection that stands out. Experimenting with oversized forms, types of layering and uneven silhouettes, I have created a multidirectional collection. Through my sustainable approach, I am going to be reworking donated merchandise from my chosen sports, experimenting with sports companies, and reimagining the shape of their garments. Nothing is wasted. Keeping in line with future fashion trends/colour forecasts to create a bold, creative patterning and colour blocking.
