About me

Hello, I’m Emily, some call me Em. I’m from a little town called Wigan. A northern beauty, which is mainly known for it’s pies and peas!

I’ve always had a creative headspace. It comes as a surprise to people, that alongside the subject of graphics and everything design , I play the drums which has heavily inspired one of my favourite projects that I’ve designed this year. I’ve not yet managed to form a band, but maybe one day…

I have worked a successful 12 month placement year in the Graphic Design industry, across Manchester, London and Leeds. I’m a hard worker, and will always find new ways to achieve anything. I’m excited by new discoveries and will find interesting and innovative ways to come up with fresh, new ideas.

The three projects chosen are all taken from my final year studies. A way to turn the Monday Blues – Green with my new blood D&AD entry for Heineken x Design Bridge; Introducing Green Monday! An initiative for women to get into drumming with my self-initiated project, BackBeat. And what it would look like if the North formed its own country – a branding exercise for the North of the UK.
