About me
My Foundation Year at the University of Central Lancashire has been insightful. The skills I have adopted from my Maths, Fine Art and Business Studies A Levels have been applied and developed, throughout this academic year. I am able to convert measurements to scale; illustrate visualisations to support design ideas; and manifest persuasive concepts for the appointed tasks
I have enjoyed being able to embed my interests within my work, my heritage and art; learning new practical and technical skills, such as drawing accurately and familiarising myself with new softwares and machinery; and attending lectures regarding issues that affect the field of architecture, including urban design and the importance of conserving buildings.
Guildhall Street Gallery – Situated in the City Centre of Preston. We were appointed to design an infill gallery with a chosen themed exhibition.
Off-Grid Pontoon Retreat on the River Ribble – Located at the South bank of the River Ribble, we had to design a floating retreat which depended on off-grid facilities and constructed on a pontoon.
Avenham Park Community nursery School – Based in the north-west corner of Avenham Park, this project was to provide a nursery school accommodating 200 individuals.
