About me

Over the last three years on the illustration course, I’ve learnt many things from the artwork I’ve produced. I have developed through presenting my work to people and hearing and listening to their opinions on my artwork – this has included feedback from people in the profession.

I have developed my skills using just paper and a pencil, using printmaking techniques to see a different outlook, using the printer and scanner to play around and experiment, and digitally, using the likes of Photoshop and InDesign to experiment with my work in a different way.

Listening to experts from different areas of illustration and graphic design has given me an insight into how people work differently – and how being original makes you stand out.

My first project was an industry brief to design a new rum brand called Royal Bengal. I have showcased my artwork on various platforms including a billboard outside a train station. My second project was a competition brief for D&AD to create a new originals cover out of the four fictional titles they had given us. I chose the brief for 'out west'. Finally, my third project was a self-initiated brief where I created my own brief. From this I designed a short artist book about the peaky blinders, mixing reality with fiction.
