About me

I started studying at UCLAN in 2020 and while there I have had the opportunity to refine my methods of creating abstract photography and get my work seen.

I have had examples of my work put up on display in an exhibition that I set up with a group of other students. The exhibition, Melt, was held at the Stanley Arms pub in Preston in April 2022.

My photographs revolves around abstraction and the idea of removing subjects from their original context and the information provided to us by the subjects purpose in the real world.

I have made use of unorthodox angles, handmade photographic filters that I made myself and now photoshop to push the subjects of my images further away from reality.

I have taken influence from photographers such as Paul Strand and painters such as Jackson Pollock. In addition I was also inspired by the bright colours of psychedelic art like those seen in Victor Moscoso’s concert posters.
