About me

I am a Blackburn-based illustrator that loves using a wide range of media including lino printing, watercolour, and digital techniques to create my art. Over my time as an illustrator, I have had the opportunity to create pieces for personal exhibitions, such as the East Lancashire Hospice exhibition in Blackburn, where the theme of this exhibition was to stimulate conversations about Illness, Death and Bereavement.

More recently, I have created a commission piece in the form of a flyer for a charity masquerade ball using Venetian renaissance influences commissioned by The Len John Rose Association in aid of MNDA.

When I graduate, I would like to develop my brand work further with a focus on areas such as music cover designs for vinyl sleeves, merchandise, and book covers. I would like to expand on this to include more ambitious projects such as rebranding product ranges for companies.

During my time as an illustrator, I have enjoyed working on rebranding, such as the book cover for A Short History of Nearly Everything and the Pact Coffee projects. I believe these projects have been key in the development of my techniques and problem solving. It is exciting to pool together all the information I can find about the significance of a product and work to channel these influences into the art I create. Furthermore, it is rewarding to see my art in the hands of my family and friends while working with other artists and brands I love.
