Hi, I’m Lucy.
I’m a tactile artist who is inspired by real-world situations.
I create bold and unique pieces that will stand out from the crowd. I’m also a capable surface pattern designer who works at a commercial level.
For my project, I wanted to create a physical record of the conversations that I hear on the bus. For this, I have constructed a crocheted cardigan that is covered in the conversations that struck me the most; the idea is to make a garment that absorbs the conversations around them.
This is paired with a large bag that has been tufted and finished with acrylic handles in two different designs, again saying some wording that I have overheard.
