About me

I am Mark, a games design student in my final year. I think my specific strength of games design lies with level design, which you will see in my portfolio images.

You can check out more of my work on the social media links.

My final year projects include four projects. Two short games, the first of which being a 2D side scroller in which you play as a Gingerbread man and fight against bandits through 3 levels. The second being a exploration game in which you learn about the fate of a group of missing people, an investigator attempting to find them. It has hints of horror and dark themes. The other two projects include two level design focused projects set in the same world, a post-apocalyptic world. My main focus was level design.

Survivor Camp - This is an overview of the Survivor camp level design. The player must sneak into the camp and gather supplies. The camp features multiple areas and has multiple entrances.

The Missing - Starting Location. This is the starting location for this project, the aim was to start the player in a mysterious and eerie atmosphere, to set the tone for the game.

The Missing - A street event. The street is one of the main locations of the game and connects important areas. This is one of the events along the street that offers story information.

Suburb - This is the car dealership. The location in which the player must steal a car. It has been taken over by enemies and the player must sneak through the area.

The Missing - Story information. The player will find various notes throughout the game that tell a story. These notes also reveal important gameplay elements, driving the player towards their goal.
