About me
Hello my name is Robbie Johnson
I am a soon to be Animation graduate from the University of Central Lancashire and looking to start working as an animator.
My passion for animation has grown since childhood from watching various cartoons and being fascinated As a teenager I decided to make my own stop-motion animation about a robot who could feel temperatures. From this I enrolled for my degree at UCLAN to develop my skills so I could carve out a career in this field. I am now skilled in 2D and 3D animation and creating assets in these areas. I have always been able to create original ideas and feel confident in doing this to create my projects. I am constantly evolving and willing to learn as much as possible in this field so that I can ensure my skills keep developing.
I have worked on a variety of different projects whilst learning animation, from a club for sentient shapes to characters within all our electrical appliances, along with a robot who is able to feel temperatures.
From these projects, I gained experience in working in 3D and learning how to create a project from scratch including modelling characters and creating rigs. I also developed character squash and stretch and lip-syncing dialogue to characters. Finally, I have gained understanding movement and timing in stop motion. As well as having the ability to make key observations about the environmental changes required.
