About me

My time at UCLan has highlighted my speciality in womenswear, with a keen interest in styling. This was put into practice throughout my degree – more specifically with shooting my final garments whilst working from home during the pandemic.

One accomplishment that I’m most proud of, is being selected for a Boohoo assessment centre interview for a placement. I made a lot of contacts and was complimented on my creative CV – a piñata filled with sweets and key words about myself – with industry professionals saying it was one of the most innovative entries they’d ever seen.

Adobe centred workshops enhanced my software skills and I’m now the most confident I’ve been in my CAD abilities . Completing two visually rich essays on topics important to me and the industry (mental health and plus size inclusivity) was a pivotal moment during my studies at UCLan.

The objective of my collection is to create a line of inclusive, trendy and current clothing inspired by the 70s for women of all shapes and sizes, and this was a result of my own personal issues with shopping commercially due to being plus size. The aim of my work is to encourage people to wear whatever they want to no matter what their shape or size is, as size doesn't determine style. 70’s styles are so popular in media and design industries currently plus curvy influencers are becoming more vocal, which have both prominently influenced my collection.

  • During the early time of my studies at UCLan, I decided to pursue my interest in make up further and I successfully completed a graded make up course to become an ABT Accredited and Qualified make up artist.
