About
My Journey at the University of Lancashire has been both a challenging journey and fulfilling. The course has broadened my understanding of architecture and how it is a reflection and contribution to society. I hold architecture to a higher standard, reinforcing sustainable approaches, deeper-rooted designs, and being able to give back to the community, wherever that may be. I am looking forward to beginning my journey as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant, especially being an international student, allowing me different routes and opportunities around the world. Being able to both share and collect the knowledge of the industry is what fuels my passion and will inform how I design and what I can supply in return. I am looking forward to continuing my journey in the professional world and to collaborating on the global level.
Project overview
P3: Made in Fleetwood
This project revolves around Fleetwood, a coastal town that possesses a strong community rich in history. The project calls for engagement and opportunity to be spread throughout the local area, adding to the identity that it already has. Ceramic tiles were my chosen medium, as they are not as popular and available, but still important to the traditional and architectural values of the town. I am hoping that the spaces created can offer new traditions, values, and comfort for the surrounding community. The sustainable design strategies are to consider the environment and how to add to the social integrity of the community. This design is a reflection of creativity and how it can add to everyday life in urban skills, giving something new and fresh back to society.
