About
Throughout these four years of studying architecture, I’ve engaged in a continuous process of learning and experimentation, which has led to my current understanding of architectural design, the technology behind it, and the historical insights that have shaped it. At a very young age, I grew fond of drawing, and I drew relentlessly. It felt like a fountain that kept on giving. Through these years, I’ve come to understand the value of creativity and design—when we apply them to any practice, we’re able to communicate in a way that doesn’t always require words yet still speaks to people in a completely different way. There are many forms of expression, and each person's voice is unique and individual. In architecture, we design for people. We’re trained to create and express people’s needs through design, and in doing so, we produce architecture that is informed and responsive on many levels. Over time, I’ve learned the importance of information and how design doesn’t come from some mystical place inside us but from the things around us. Responsive architecture is at the core of what makes architecture great. Before beginning my studies, I always wondered how the spaces, cities, and buildings around me came to be. The more I learn the answer to that question, the more fascinated I become. Throughout my studies, I’ve seen myself improve in many ways—from my foundation year to my final submissions, it has been a long process of learning from my shortcomings. I’m excited to keep pursuing architecture, in hopes of creating and learning much more in the years to come.
Project overview
AO3101 : Design 3: Autonomy, (2025-2026, Sem 1 and 2)
Our final year projects were all based in Fleetwood, a coastal town in Lancashire, a small place with so much potential. We started with a tower project, then moved on to a project aimed at conserving a historic ship that reflects the town's rich fishing culture. And then finally, we were to design a building that surrounded the making of a chosen artefact. We designed a space where people could make.
