About
This exhibition showcases a selection of my work reflecting the knowledge and growth I have gained over the three years I have studied architecture. My passion for architecture and planning began at a young age when I found a keen interest in the functionality and aesthetics of buildings. Over the course of 3 years, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of building composition and fundamental principles that guide architectural design. This knowledge has enabled me to develop and produce detailed technical drawings that illustrate the intricate components of a design project with precision and accuracy. Throughout this time, I have also come to appreciate the critical role that building regulations play in ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance, as well as the growing importance of sustainable design in creating environmentally responsible and energy-efficient structures. In the future, I would love to pursue a career in architecture or construction in order for me to progress and develop as a designer. I see this exhibition as an opportunity to grow in a field that aligns with my passions and aspirations.
Project overview
Made in Fleetwood
This project 'Made in Fleetwood' prioritises a theme of 'Informing and Learning' whereby the primary task is to design a makerspace that explores Fleetwood's history while also raising awareness about the identity of Fleetwood as a town. The makerspace will celebrate the town's deep-rooted connection to Fisherman's Friend lozenges, the sweet originated in Fleetwood and is a significant part of the town's history alongside the coastal heritage. Therefore, in the makerspace artefacts will be designed and created with the capacity to hold a memory of the town.
