About
In the three years of my architectural education I have developed a belief that architecture should evoke emotion, foster community, and respond meaningfully to their context. I am particularly interested in the relationship between place, memory and identity. Looking forward, I aspire to work on projects that centre community involvement, celebrate cultural identity and environmental responsibility. Creating architecture that acts quietly but contributes to social infrastructure and has a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
Project overview
Maker Home
In the Maker Home project the key areas of interest that explored are place-making, reuse and socially engaged design, with particular focus on how architecture can foster sustainable and inclusive communities. Through considered spatial storytelling and material language that speaks to its context, I aim to design spaces that are not only functional but emotionally resonant. A way of achieving this is through the exploration of tectonics and materiality. I am intrigued by how the assembly of materials, their textures, weights and imperfections, can evoke atmosphere, suggest history and give a building a tactile presence within its landscape.
