About

Hi, I’m Niamh and I have a strong passion for trend forecasting, marketing and creating visually stimulating work. From a very young age I have been passionate about all forms of creativity which ultimately led me to this course.

Within my work I aim to challenge the boundaries of mainstream media to create work that truly resonates and talks to the customer. Throughout my studies my focus has always been centred around creativity and producing work that communicates; whether that be physically through tactile pieces or digitally through promotion.

Ultimately my passions lie within storytelling and creating creative outcomes, all the way from initial research and understanding through to the end graphic and design. I’m someone who thrives on a creative challenge and pushing the boundaries to connect with what truly matters to customers.

Project overview

Selfridges Re-Claimed

Selfridges Re-Claimed is a hypothetical 6-month immersive jewellery pop-up for the high-end retailer Selfridges powered by Re-Selfridges. Selfridges Re-Claimed has been developed in response to the increasing demand for in-person immersive shopping experiences, pre-loved and re-worked, bespoke jewellery.

The launch of Selfridges Re-Claimed will provide a theatrical retail-space, focused on customer experience and satisfaction. The pop-up powered by Re-Selfridges will have a strong focus on sustainable practises to align with consumer aspiration.

The main service available will be to re-work customers premium jewellery which feels out-dated or not quite ‘them’ to keep the sentiment and story attached to it. This service will work on a four-tier framework to ensure commercial feasibility. Additional supporting services will be to trade in premium metal jewellery for marked up Selfridges vouchers to spend in store, or to buy pre-loved traded in items with the option of re-working them if desired.

There will be a seamless blend between the customer in-store experience and remote communication creating an effortless feel and maximising on the luxury persona, influencing customers to choose this pop-up over independent jewellers because of the aspirational and seamless experience. Additionally, this campaign will be centred around creative storytelling to showcase the circular life of jewellery and how unique the history and past of each item is.

The end goal of this campaign is to bring back immersive, luxurious in-store shopping experiences and to increase the circular life span of jewellery to reduce climate effects from the fashion industry. This is one small step towards a bigger movement, making progress towards customers new, more educated opinions surrounding pre-loved shopping.
