My name is Robert, and I'm a 20-year-old architecture student from Preston, Lancashire. During the foundation year, I have explored architecture as a way of understanding the relationship between people, place and the built environment. Through drawing, model making, and design development, I have developed an interest in how thoughtful design can create experiences and impactful spaces. My work reflects a growing curiosity about architectural practice and the creative process behind transforming ideas into physical form. This exhibition will present a selection of my projects that I have produced throughout the year, showcasing the development of my skills, ideas and approach to design as I begin my journey in architecture.

Architecture Portfolio
This project consisted of three separate units: The Doghouse Project, The Carnival Project, and the Stilt House Project. Each unit presented a unique design challenge and allowed me to explore different aspects of architectural thinking, creativity, and model making. Throughout the project, I developed my understanding of spatial design, structure, scale, and the relationship between form and function. As shown in the images below, I created a physical model for each of these units to communicate my design ideas and demonstrate the development of my concepts. The Doghouse Project focused on designing a functional and imaginative space tailored to the needs of a specific user. The Carnival Project encouraged experimentation with movement, interaction, and temporary structures, while the Stilt House Project explored how architecture can respond to its environment through innovative structural solutions. Together, these projects helped strengthen my design skills and provided valuable experience in translating ideas from initial concepts into three-dimensional architectural models.
