Project overview
Footpath closed
My work is about the right to roam in the countryside, our need to connect to nature for our mental and physical health and the barriers that prevent people from accessing nature. During the past three years I have been researching how the land in England was claimed as property, who benefited and who lost out. I have studied how our connections to nature were lost and looked at the steps taken more recently to reclaim our right to enjoy the countryside. I have made connections with the Right to Roam campaign group and acknowledge their guidance in finding relevant books and information.
